As the nearly illegible date in the corner states, I drew the sketch for this back in June and it rested in my sketchbook as a reminder of how I'm improving. Only just today did I think about digitally improving it rather than just snapping a crappy iPhone photo and posting it without edits. Two GIMP tutorials and 90 minutes later, this is the final product.

A derivative of the cover to the Blacksad comic Somewhere Within the Shadows. I gave it more vivid colors (without shading because I'm not that talented) and placed behind a similar background, a 50s diner. Fitting given the contents of Blacksad, which by the way you should read if you haven't.

I also upgraded Natalia's appearance because I never liked the trope in anthro works where the males look more animal that the females, who are often just human women with cat ears. It's a lazy art style that really needs to be lessened.

As always, criticism is widely accepted and appreciated!
