They had been walking together a while now. Arti had respected the stranger's wishes and didn't ask their name, but conversations had run a bit thin when they didn't know much about each other. So they simply walked. Every now and then the stranger would pipe up about the weather - evidently, it was warmer where they came from, and they weren't used to it yet, but they weren't really complaining, either. Arti had to wonder why they came to Kanibar of all places on vacation.

They were reaching the mountains, now. Sheer cliffs began to tower over them, the clear day causing sunlight to stream between them like jagged icicles.

There was a rumble.

Arti threw one hand in the air, and as they called up their magic, the wind was knocked out of them as they were tackled to the ground, snow flying everywhere as the stranger threw them out of the way of an avalanche.

"Get down!" The massive stranger cried, fabric disguise slipping off of their face.

Two separate strands of Reflect met above them as two Greheli-attuned ketucari had the same idea at the same time. A rush of snow piled on top of the dome, burying it in white. The two stared in awe as the mountain churned down its contents onto them.

And then it stopped. They both pulled down their shields one at a time, staring up at the packed dome of white. It wasn't budging. They were walled in, and damn, it was cold.

"Can I get your name?" Arti asked, beginning to press against the snow.

"Why?" The stranger snorted, humor to their voice.

"We're going to be here a while. I might as well know who you are."

There was a pause. "It's Cori, but don't... tell people. I try not to be... me... all the time."

Arti paused. Nodded. They could deal with that level of strange. "Well, I hope the you that you are doesn't cause a cave-in. Help me dig us out of here?"
