Monsterous Energy [Story Trade for Aussie Luvtail]

Aussie Story Trade

Aussie yawned wide and long, showing off the white teeth contained within. This was the most tired he’d been in the past week. That was really saying something too, considering his insomnia problem. Every night was the same lack of sleep, tossing and turning to try to get comfortable in bed. Even curling up with his extra fluffy snow leopard tail couldn’t help. That tail could’ve been a body pillow at its larger-than-normal size, a sort of massive stuffed animal to help Aussie fall asleep. But tail or not, he could not sleep at all.

Which was proving to be a problem at the moment, as he poured orange juice into a glass while his eyes were closed and his mouth yawning. At least, he thought he was pouring into a glass. Instead the juice was falling on the table top. The liquid splashed down onto Aussie’s paw, which finally woke him up out of his stupor. With a mew and a jerking motion, he set the orange juice upright and knocked his foot into the table, tossing everything on top to the ground.

“Dang…” Aussie cursed under his breath. That was going to be annoying to clean up. At least his toast hadn’t fallen down; there was no need to call the 5 second rule on that. The feline sighed and took a bite from his breakfast, looking down to survey the mess on the ground. His eyes caught the daily newspaper which had fallen open to the classifieds ads. And at the very top of that section was an advertisement, half of the page covered in big bold letters.

WANTED! TASTE TESTERS FOR ENERGY DRINKS! MONSTEROUS ENERGY CORPORATION WILL PAY WELL FOR ANY WISHING TO TRY NEW PRODUCTS AND PROVIDE FEEDBACK! CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR MORE FELINE OR MUSTELID TESTERS!

Aussie’s eyebrows furrowed in thought. Free energy drinks to interested taste testers… maybe that was just the thing to break him of his sluggishness. A little liquid energy to put the spring in his step and the fluff back in his tail. Plus he was out of orange juice after knocking his glass onto the floor. This wouldn’t solve the insomnia, but if the disease couldn’t be fixed at least the symptoms could be treated. He skimmed the ad a bit further and mentally noted the address. It was only a couple blocks away; there was no reason he couldn’t go over right now.

It might be better to go in for the testing on an empty stomach, but he didn’t want to waste any food. The snow leopard took another bite out of his toast and smiled. Fate was dropping an interesting plan into his lap this morning so why not follow it.

Looking at the building, Aussie wouldn’t have guessed that it was headquarters for a major beverage company like Monsterous energy drinks. The simple, two story complex didn’t feel fancy, or important in the slightest. It looked more like a small business front, like a restaurant or a family owned convenience store. The brick walled building with inelegant windows and a single revolving front door almost made Aussie get out the newspaper ad to double check the address. Only the sign above the door proclaiming “Monsterous Energy Corporation” assured the snow leopard that he had indeed come to the right place.

The ermine at the front desk pointed Aussie off down a hallway. Sparsely lit hallways painted in all white ended at a single room in the back. Testing Room Number 3. The more that Aussie saw of this place the less sure he became. This building looked so boring and uninviting. Who would ever want to work in a place like this? Managers and advertisers and accountants he supposed. Aussie was way too fun loving and bouncy for this place though. That was exactly what a place like this could use. More energy, ironically enough. The snow leopard grinned, imagining himself as the owner of Monsterous Energy. The rooms would be filled with ball pits, walls colored in neon paints, a comfy bed for naps in every room. Fun was the name of the game with a snow leopard in charge. And maybe plenty of big, floofy tails around the office too. That never hurt anyone. As all this formed in his mind, Aussie came to the immediate conclusion that he would definitely run this place better than the current management.

And though he didn’t know it yet, Aussie was definitely going to have quite the impact on the company.

“This is Test Beverage Number 1, subject name Aussie Luvtail. Subject, in front of you is one cup of a Test Beverage and one cup of water. Please drink the water and swish it throughout your mouth to cleanse your pallet. Immediately after, please drink the Test Beverage.”

The test was being run by a bored looking otter in a purple button down shirt and jeans. His chair was the same kind of terrible plastic one would use at an elementary school desk, and the “cups” in front of him would barely have satiated a toddler. This was hardly the professional atmosphere Aussie had been expecting. Monsterous Energy Corporation made billions of dollars each year, yet this was the best they would give to taste testers?

He downed the water in a single gulp, not even bothering to swish as instructed. He was in a hurry to get to the actual energy drink. The sweet, energy packed liquid filled his mouth and his tail puffed out. Fantastic! It made him wish there was more to enjoy of this sweet, scientifically formulated energy drink.

“Please sir, take your time with it, we need to know what you think of the taste,” the otter said. Aussie wasn’t listening anymore though. He was enjoying the tingles that passed through his body from that wonderful beverage. There was one particular area of his body that seemed to be tingling more than others though… his tail.

The puffed out fur of his tail at first just seemed to be due to the sweetness. But that puff didn’t go down with time, and instead started to vibrate slightly. It appeared all that caffeine and energy supplements from the drink were passing straight to that spotted portion of Aussie’s body, and making it puff up more than normal. Then it puffed up even more. And then even a little more than that.

Aussie giggled to himself as he felt the change occurring there. He was no stranger to having a massive tail. All the practice he’d spent on his own free time left that tail quite stretchy. He prided himself on that tail, which could be more like a balloon than a furry appendage at times. Being a fan of cuddly tails meant he spent plenty of time grooming it, and inflating it as well to push his limits. Snow leopard tails made fantastic beds after all, with enough fur to act like a thick blanket and some squish to the mass underneath for comfortable body support. His tail didn’t just have to stop there though. Building sized was also fun to play around with, not just for the looks of awe it often inspired in passersby. If the stories some locals told were true, that tail had even covered up entire countries before… but who would believe something like that? That was just silly; no one’s tail could be that huge. At least that’s what Aussie always said whenever people asked.

The tingling tail puffed up to twice its original size and length with a final push. Once done it shrank just lightly, as though the tail was sighing happily. The fuzz on it hadn’t decreased at all; it was still covered with a thick layer of feline fur, warm and soft like an enormous stuffed animal. He curled his tail around his side and grabbed it with both hands. Cuddling that furry tail mercilessly, Aussie grinned like a madman. While there were many things that could make him happy, a big boofy tail topped them all.

Out of the corner of his eye, Aussie noticed the otter eyeing him suspiciously. “That… did you just do that?”

“Do what?” Aussie replied innocently.

“Your tail. You made it bigger, right?” The otter’s tail was flicking back and forth now, clearly no longer bored with his job.

Aussie shook his head. “No, I didn’t do this. I could have if I wanted. But I didn’t this time. All I did was have your energy drink.” Realizing the connection, his ears perked and tail fur fluffed. The extra energy from that sugary, caffeinated beverage was playing tricks on his body’s chemistry somehow which resulted in his now couch sized tail. It seemed the otter had made the connection too.

“Here, prove it. Drink some more,” the otter said, tossing an unlabeled can to his test subject. Aussie recognized the elongated soda can shape as belonging to the Monsterous Energy line of drinks; clearly the same can his sample had come from earlier. If he were honest with himself, he sort of needed the extra confirmation of his suspicions too. Whoever heard of energy drinks causing growth? Couldn’t be true. Absolute nonsense. A complete farce to say the least.

He took a swig from the can anyway, this time savoring the flavors exploding on his tongue. This energy drink was much sweeter than the normal Monsterous Energy products, and came with a citrusy taste like lemon-lime. Someone clearly took the sugar levels to maximum with this one, though perhaps at the expense of caffeine to keep relative energy levels in check. Whatever the case all that carbonated goodness caused Aussie to shiver involuntarily and then relax all his muscles. He set the can down on his table before any of the effects gained momentum.

The grey, spotted tail expanded outward again. It grew slightly faster this time as though hooked up to a tank of helium meant for blowing up balloon animals. Aussie laid back on his tail, large enough to be a Queen sized bed, and sank a few inches into the safety of his own floof. Unlike with some inflation adventures his tail had been part of, this time it was more solid and didn’t give way as much to weight on top of it. It felt more like his entire tail had grown rather than just been blown up with air like an air mattress. He bounced on his spotted seat like a trampoline and giggled.

There was still more energy drink to be had though, Aussie realized. Getting back on his feet he walked over to the desk, dragging that huge tail behind him with a swish and wiggle. The otter had to jump out of the way of the bed-sized leopard tail to avoid getting knocked flat on his rump; for being so huge, it hadn’t lost very much mobility at all.

With an entire can of energy drink like this, the effects were bound to be much more potent. Aussie shook it, feeling the weight of what must have still been three quarters of a can leftover. Now that his assumption about the cause of his tail’s growth had been proven, did he dare finish off what was started?

Of course he would.

The can tilted back into the lips of a parched snow leopard where it began to work its magic on his body. Rather than the relaxing experience of the last two attempts at tail growth silliness, Aussie felt buzzed after chugging the entire can. His paws twitched slightly and his tail flicked back and forth to create all sorts of chaos, even in the nearly empty testing room. The desk and chair he sat in at the start of the test were knocked to the side, and his tail thumped loudly against the walls. Back and forth the tail swept, not needing to move quiet as far with each passing second to hit the opposite wall.

“Woah,” the otter whispered before he was bowled over by the snaking motion of a huge feline tail. He’d been so flabbergasted, and maybe a little envious, of the feline’s tail that he’d entirely forgotten that it could be a little dangerous to be stuck in a room with a snow leopard intent on making it even larger. Although falling on his back had definitely hurt, the feeling of a swooping tail over his body was actually kind of relaxing. The otter was content to just lay down now and grab hold of that tail as it finally got large enough that its movement back and forth was getting restricted. There wasn’t anything he could do to stop Aussie now anyway so he decided to enjoy this brand new, spotted blanket and let the absurdity continue.

Now that it had gone past the size of a truck, Testing Room Number 3 was officially filled half way with tail floof. Aussie giggled and reached behind to run his hands through that soft fur, purring happily. Despite its size, it was still just as mobile as when Aussie had entered the building that morning. Well maybe a little less mobile now that the room was being filled with snow leopard tail. But it didn’t feel like he would’ve had any difficulty carrying it behind him were he to walk down the street or anything. The tail was less parade balloon and more oversized appendage. Aussie grinned, imagining trying to perform day to day tasks with this tail in tow. It was certainly something to consider… maybe not quite at this size, but a little larger than normal for day to day life wouldn’t hurt. Twice as big as normal, bigger but not unwieldy.

As the feline contemplated the possibilities of keeping an even larger tail, he failed to notice the increasingly tightened quarters of the room. His tail still hadn’t stopped growing, now topping semi-trucks for size. Only once Aussie was pushed forward by the expansion of his own tail did he realize there could be a problem. It had pushed up against three of the walls and the ceiling and now had only one way to push anymore. That final wall was also the one with the door, and Aussie realized that was his only saving grace. He merely needed to position himself correctly, open the door, and get forced through by a wall of fluff. Simple.

Or it would have been simple if the door had opened for him. He struggled and strained with the doorknob but it would not budge. “Come on, why won’t you open?” he grunted, using all the force he could muster. But the door did not move, and Aussie couldn’t have tried again anyway; the advancing wall of fluff behind him smooshed him up against that door, making any movement impossible.

About ten minutes passed before anyone outside realized there could be something wrong. Through that time, the lobby secretary would swear she heard creaks and unnatural groans coming from the Testing Rooms, like a particularly squeaky door hinge from horror movies. And several employees on the second floor filed complaints with HR that they noticed strands of fur puffing out of the air conditioning grates, as though someone were shedding inside the AC.

It would likely have been even longer before anyone opened up Testing Room Number 3, but there was another test scheduled there and the test subject had gotten impatient waiting in the lobby. A wolf huffed to himself as he walked down the hallway toward that room, not taking note of the bowing outward of the walls or the grey, spotted fur peeking between the cracks in the door. How dare they make him wait fifteen minutes for a single taste test. It’s not like these things took long at all. What could possibly be holding them up anyway?

As soon as he laid a paw on the doorknob and barely turned it to open the door burst off its hinges and flew across the hallway landing with a crash onto the floor. Aussie followed through that opening in the wall close behind, riding a wave of expanding snow leopard tail. Only the walls and that door had been holding back its growth, but no longer. It pushed all the way down that hallway into the lobby, at least fifty feet long but it would have been hard to measure thanks to the continued growth. He smiled and waved at the receptionist as though nothing were wrong while her eyes could have rivaled dinner plates for roundness. These sorts of situations were nothing new to him anyway.

His tail attempted to make up for lost growth time by redoubling its efforts to fill the entire office building with spotted fur. It barreled down hallways and slammed through walls like a fuzzy battering ram. The ceiling crumbled as it puffed upward and outward, garnering more than a few surprised reactions from the workers. Their desks were replaced with a surface of fluff, which didn’t stop there and proceeded to push up toward the second floor ceiling as well.

Aussie sat back and enjoyed the ride, snuggling against that furry appendage even as it forced him along the floor. He could feel each wall and person and piece of furniture that ran into his tail, and could feel each of those give way to the expansion of his lush, fuzzy barrage of snow leopard tail. Soon even the second floor started running out of room for him, and that was definitely worrisome. Just how much more punch was left in that energy drink?

Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on one’s opinion, the growth began to slow down just as the entire building was filled up by Aussie’s tail. The fur had pushed out windows and doors, making those on the outside looking at the building wonder just why there was fur covering every exit and window and seeping out from the walls and ceiling too. Nearly the entire inside of the facility was decimated. The whole volume of the office was fluffy and warm now; no more stuffy cubicles or bland walls. Everyone would relax in the embrace of a blanket of snow mew.

Aussie would have been content staying there for a very long time in fact. He stopped just a few feet away from the revolving door he’d entered Monsterous Energy Corporation HQ in the first place. If he turned around he could hug against his tail for a few hours. He had no where to be anytime soon after all. But that wasn’t going to happen. A pair of men in black suits and sunglasses walked through the revolving doors, briefly surveyed the damage, then wordlessly looked at each other.

He almost thought to ask who they were, but they didn’t leave him any chance to do so. One of them, a lion, placed a small rag across his mouth. He suddenly felt very sleepy, and blackness overtook his vision…

Bleary eyes opened, blinking to force the sleep away. It felt unnatural as though waking up after being under anesthesia for a surgery. Or maybe after a long night of drinking, passing out in some strange home. The world spun slightly as he tried to focus his eyes. Or was it his head that was tilting? Aussie couldn’t tell anymore.

He tried to piece together memories. An energy drink… and his tail… and lots of growth? It all felt dreamy, unreal, ethereal. He looked out a window, still fighting to get the world on its correct axis. The outside world was dark and stars blinked in the sky; it must have been hours since he’d blacked out.

The chair under him creaked as he fidgeted around. When he tried to stand, the world continued shifting and he found himself back on his butt. He moaned lightly as a massive headache suddenly began throbbing in his skull and shut his eyes in response. What on Earth happened earlier? He could definitely remember his tail getting absolutely massive, but what an energy drink had to do with that he couldn’t quite figure out. And where was here anyway? It couldn’t be the same place as before. The building he’d been at last… he couldn’t quite think where, but some sort of test facility? Whatever it was, that building had definitely seen better days once his tail had coated its entire inside with fuzz.

The effects of his drugging wore off slowly until finally Aussie could bear keeping his eyes open for longer than a few seconds at a time. The spinning had lessened now, and he felt strong enough to try standing up. Again the snow leopard fell back on his butt; this time though it was because something held him in place. His surprise gave way to worry as he struggled to get on his feet. Looking down, the reason became apparent: a strong set of ropes dug into his fur and presumably tied him down to the chair around the back.

But that would mean he was being held here against his will. Which didn’t make a ton of sense the more he thought about it. Aussie didn’t have any enemies, disgruntled coworkers, or even cranky neighbors to worry about (though that last one was up for debate after some shenanigans involving a growth ray and destruction of property). He supposed it could possibly be someone involved with his tail growth… but who?

“Glad to see you’re awake Aussie,” answered a voice from just behind him. His head jerked to the right, where a lion in a three piece suit walked out from the shadows of a large stack of wooden boxes.

“Where am I? And who are you?” Aussie asked, trying to keep his voice calm and not let any fear betray him.

“One question at a time. Who I am isn’t important. What you should be asking instead is whom I work for. And the answer to that is the Monsterous Energy Corporation.”

Suddenly the memories crystalized. “Ohh… Right. I remember now. The taste testing.”

“Exactly,” the lion said, lighting a cigarette. “And since you’re remembering, you surely also know what happened to our corporate offices.” Aussie said nothing in response, merely blushing and shuffling his paws. The lion approached, allowing Aussie to see the sunglasses and distinctive mane he sported. This was the same lion from today, the one who had drugged him.

The lion continued, “You’re lucky though. The higher ups aren’t too angry with you.” Well that was a good sign at least. “They just want to try a few more things on you. Their testing facility is gone now, and the least you could do to make up for it is test all the other soda. Maybe it’ll cause some changes in you too.”

That didn’t sound quite so good. “So I assume that means I can’t refuse then.”

“Those ropes holding you in place aren’t just for show, kid.”

Aussie sighed. “Well you answered that question at least. Since I can’t leave anyway, where am I?”

“This here is the warehouse for most of our stock. Thousands of pallets of energy soda sit behind you and to your sides, millions of dollars worth of product.” The lion took a long drag from his cigarette. “In addition to now housing that ridiculous thing behind you.”

Aussie perked up with a confused mew. He turned his head to look past his shoulder and was greeted with a wall of fluff. Ohh. His tail still hadn’t shrunk yet. He attempted to shake it around but something was keeping it still. Probably another set of ropes tied to the floor or something. It definitely wasn’t as large as he remembered it but was still big enough to fill plenty of space, even in a massive warehouse like this.

The temptation to try freeing his tail in order to cuddle with it was great. But he had other problems to address first. He turned his attention back to the lion, who was now turning to leave.

“If it makes any difference, I’m sorry! Tell your bosses I said I’m sorry!” he yelled after the feline. His captor gave no sign he’d even heard Aussie as the door slammed behind him. Well there was no way he’d be escaping anytime soon now. Even if he got loose, it seemed the only escape was through that door. And it was far too small for his tail now.

Which did bring up the question of just how he got into that warehouse in the first place... but that brought up even more questions than answers. So rather than worry too much, he decided to rest and await his fate. He didn’t know when the first tests would begin but he did know it would be better to be prepared for them. Maybe some way to get out of here would present itself at that time.

The next morning Aussie woke up to sunlight in his eyes. There were no blinds on the warehouse windows, and while tied down he had no way to move. So he was unceremoniously awoken by his nemesis, the sun, and couldn’t get back to sleep. While he waited for something else to happen the snow leopard decided to make an attempt at getting free.

He struggled and tossed around in his chair but it wouldn’t loosen. He brought his face down to the rope for chewing but it was simply too thick. Even his attempt to thrash his tail around for freedom was met with no success. And with no way to move it seemed that was the end of his short lived attempt.

Boredom was just about to set in when a visitor arrived to the warehouse. Someone new entered this time, a rabbit rather than the lion from last night. The female lapine dressed in a labcoat and glasses approached him, clipboard in hand and bounced a bit as though happy with the discovery of the snow leopard. She looked down at Aussie, then back at his tail.

“This is what you got up to? R&D said it was ridiculous but they didn’t say just how much,” she thought aloud. “How do you even move with something like that? The weight must be extraordinary. And it seems soft too; how did you get your flesh to expand like that but retain enough fur to remain plush? And for that matter, what in our energy drink reacted with you? Hmm, too many questions...”

She didn’t even seem to be paying attention to Aussie, instead mumbling to herself as she walked up to the tail. She poked and prodded it with a pen, and when satisfied she even gave it a feel with her hand. Aussie couldn’t turn around to look, but he thought that maybe he felt a hug as well. She hummed a tune he couldn’t recognize and wrote some notes down on her clipboard before returning to face him.

“Your name is Aussie?” He merely nodded, afraid for what this scientist had in store. She seemed friendly enough but being kept against his will wasn’t doing much for his ability to trust others. “Can you move that tail?”

“Well n-normally yes. But it’s tied down right now.”

She giggled. “Clearly. Say I were to cut the ropes. If it weren’t incapacitated, could you move it at this size?”

He looked backward at it. “I think so. It doesn’t feel heavier than normal. Just cuddlier.” The scientist scribbled some more on her papers. Aussie almost wanted to ask what her name was but she seemed pretty busy. Aussie started to shuffle his paws and try to find other things to entertain himself.

“Okay cutie, we’re gonna start now. Look up please?”

A pair of rabbit hands grabbed either side of his face and brought it up so he was staring at the ceiling. Aussie squeaked in surprise as without a moment’s notice a funnel shoved its way into his mouth, held there by those surprisingly strong, feminine fingers. He thrashed in his seat again to fight the interfering funnel and tried to spit it out. It wouldn’t leave his muzzle though and soon a set of strong ropes also found their way tied around to keep his mouth shut. For better or for worse, he was now an open book to any liquid.

“Keep your mouth open,” the rabbit cooed. Aussie watched her open an unlabeled can, similar in shape to those Monsterous Energy cans from yesterday. His eyes widened, but then he realized what that could mean. Maybe he shouldn’t be fighting after all.

So he sat obediently as the soda was poured slowly into the funnel, like a stream of sugary water from a hose. It seemed his body was ready to respond immediately to that liquid nourishment, also as though it were hooked up to a hose. The Monsterous Energy drink started fizzing and bubbling inside his stomach, bloating the snow leopard far further than the little bit of soda should ever have done.

He felt the funnel get pulled from his mouth and the ropes get untied from his muzzle. The scientist finished off pouring the drink into Aussie’s muzzle and took a step back, pencil set to paper to take notes. Already Aussie’s belly had bloated out to beach ball size. He wanted to reach out and drum on it, to feel the tightness under his fur as it expanded. But his arms were still tied. Rather he had to deal with the feeling of that gut pushing out slowly past his knees and even further.

The chair cracked as his body filled with fizz. Although it really shouldn’t have weighed that much, it seemed the liquid itself was also expanding. The strange mix of gas and soda in his body felt amazing though. It tickled his nostrils with carbonation and weighed him down as his rump began to grow out over the sides of his seat. Aussie’s limbs started to gain their own little bit of weight as well as his inflation progressed. The longer his puffing continued, the less he looked like a snow leopard. Only five minutes in and he already resembled a water balloon in proportion.

His body was proving too much for the chair to handle though, as the cracks intensified until it collapsed spectacularly. Aussie eeped and flopped onto the concrete. The momentum of his body rolled him onto his stomach where he found he could not move anymore. The inertia of his still filling body made it impossible to do anything other than flail his feet and hands, now freed from the rope binding. He hiccupped suddenly and his whole body wobbled back and forth.

Giggling, he closed his eyes and allowed the tingling sensation of inflating fill his senses. He was so happy he barely noticed when the rabbit scientist came up and hugged into his squishy gut. The tail behind him puffed out and shivered as it tried to wiggle back and forth happily. Now twice as tall as a normal person with just his gut Aussie could feel the tingling slow down. The rabbit scientist put her ear against his gut to listen for any more signs of bubbling but could hear nothing.

“Awww… I was enjoying that,” he whimpered as his ears drooped.

“You’re not the only one,” said the scientist, her paws finding their way across his sensitive stomach. Her six foot frame was dwarfed by the ball of fuzz and fizz, squishing her hug into his fifteen foot in diameter body. Aussie purred appreciatively and tried to roll himself back upright. It didn’t work though and served only to make his stomach rumble, voicing its annoyance at the movement.

“Urf… maybe I should just stay put until this wears off.”

The rabbit took a step back and giggled. “I think that’s a good idea. You look pretty silly as is you know. A balloon in front and a balloon behind.” She reached up at Aussie’s head, getting on her tip toes in order to bring his face down to her. Puckering her lips, she planted a smooch right on his cheek.

“I think it looks good on you though,” she said with a wink. Aussie’s vision went pink from his embarrassment over the kiss. He didn’t even notice as she grabbed another can of energy drink. “In fact, maybe we should see how much better it could look on you. For science of course.”

“I think I’ve isolated what is causing your growth, Aussie.”

The snow leopard perked up in his seat. Now that was music to his ears! A whole week spent in here, away from the rest of the world with only his tail, the scientist, and his energy drink to keep company. Any indication that his stay may be finished was a good thing.

Which wasn’t to say his stay there had been bad. On the contrary, Aussie had enjoyed himself the entire time. It was the closest he’d had to a vacation in a long time. Which sounded strange when he considered it was mostly filled with experiments. And with experiments filling him.

Aussie’s tail squirmed in excitement, bumping into boxes left and right. “Great! What’s the prognosis?”

“Diagnosis,” she corrected him. “And you’d better be careful with that blimp back there. It’s still not as small as you think it is.” She giggled as it continued wiggling. It wasn’t nearly as large as it had been back at the start of their time together. But even now it would have easily filled half the office building where Aussie had been extracted from.

The snow leopard blushed and tried to hold himself still. “It’s not just my fault you know. That last experiment ruined at least half a week’s worth of shrinking progress.”

“And you enjoyed it the whole time too,” she replied with a wink. To that Aussie could only cross his arms, unable to come up with a good retort. The rabbit smirked at rustled his head fur.

“You just wanted that experiment to happen so you could move on to the next one…”

The scientist sighed happily as she thought back to the experiment Aussie was referring to. “It was a necessary experiment! I needed to see if it was an effect that only you had, or if others could replicate it,” she said as she blushed a deep red. Many scientists were known to test on themselves to avoid the sticky moral decisions that accompanied finding a willing test subject. It was just a fortunate coincidence that this particular experiment wasn’t totally motivated by professional interest.

Aussie sure seemed surprised when he woke up to find her with her breasts in his face, though it was not because she purposely put them there. It just turned out that the inflation chemicals she’d tested that time didn’t just give her the belly, or tail inflation of the last experiments. It also seemed to be affecting her more feminine qualities as well; when all was said and done her body had inflated to around ten feet tall with a bust size nearly that large in diameter as well. Aussie never complained though.

With a blush of his own, Aussie tried to change the subject back. “Fine, then what’s the diagnosis?”

“Well I couldn’t quite find just one compound from the drinks. Seems to be several at work. Which explains the wildly different reactions you have between the different flavors.”

“Hmm. So now that you know, is my time here finished? I can go?” Aussie stroked his chin gently. He hoped that this wouldn’t be the last time he’d see his scientist friend. Though their meeting had been under strange circumstances he couldn’t deny that they’d become fast friends. Maybe the frequent growing fun had added to that as well. But now if they were finished with their time together...

“Soon. There’s one last thing to do,” the rabbit said, pulling out two small vials filled with a viscous, purple liquid. “One final experiment. We need to test both of these solutions. One is filled only with a sugar solution. The other holds concentrated versions of all the chemicals I think affect your system.”

She handed both of them to Aussie and he shook them lightly, watching them slosh around inside. “And I have to try both of them... which is which?”

“That’s the point. I can’t tell you. One is the control, the other isn’t.”

“And the one that ‘isn’t’ is actually concentrated. Doesn’t that sound like a bad idea?”

“I’m sure I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she giggled. “You can’t possibly get that big from it. At worst you’ll become a balloon and your tail will get even fuller. Sounds pretty fun to me.”

Aussie blushed and replied, “Alright well... down the hatch then!”

He pulled the cork off the top of one tube labeled #1 and gave it a sniff. All the previous soda solutions had that familiar energy drink scent but this test tube was curiously null. He’d expected some sort of grape taste but there was nothing to tickle his nose. His friend only nodded in assurance at his questioning glance. And so he brought the tube to his lips and drank.

A rush of sugar hit his tongue. For not smelling like anything, it sure was strong! He coughed in surprise but kept it down and waited for a moment for the tell tale tingling to begin. Minutes passed before he decided that had clearly been the sugar drink.

“So that’s one,” he muttered to himself as he undid the cork on the other. This time he didn’t even test it with a smell. He just threw the entire shot of liquid into his mouth and gulped. It tasted exactly the same as the last. And just like the last after a few minutes, nothing happened.

“Was this supposed to do something?” he asked, cocking an eyebrow in confusion.

She stuck her tongue out playfully. “Don’t worry. It will. I believe in my conclusions.”

And she had every reason to feel confident too. At that very moment Aussie felt his stomach gurgle. That was new. Most of the time it was just a tingling feeling, never a strong gurgling as though he hadn’t eaten in several days. He held his gut as it continued complaining at him.

Next he noticed a strange tightness all over his body under his fur. Sort of like he was being inflated, but not just in one particular area this time. From his fingers down to his paws the tightness spread in waves. With each wave Aussie found that his perspective had begun to change. He’d been in this situation enough times to know what was going on; he was getting taller.

The combination of all those energy drinks had come together to grow him in all directions this time. In seconds he found himself at double his normal height, looking over the tops of stacks of boxes now that loomed over him before. Aussie giggled and got down on his knees in front of his rabbit friend. He could have planted a kiss on top of her head still, as she came up to his face at half his height.

“Care to join me on an adventure?”

“Such a gentleman! Of course Aussie, I’d be delighted. Besides I can’t let my experiment leave without me.”

“Not leaving. Just growing out of here,” he replied. He reached out and picked her up in his arms as though she were a child. He’d doubled in height again after only that short interlude and found that the space he’d called his home wasn’t going to fit him much longer at all.

Especially not the tail behind him either. It had grown in proportion to the rest of Aussie, which at this point was four times as large. That meant his tail was now knocking over crates of energy drink without even moving now, nearly half the warehouse filled with fluffy snow leopard tail. If he had the ability to move around at will, he’d likely bring that tail around to the front for a snuggle. But that couldn’t be done at the moment, and his hands were also full with a rabbit. And that rabbit continued to get smaller in his grip so his hands were not available.

“Is this supposed to happen?” he asked as his head bumped into the ceiling again and another mountain of boxes crashed to the ground.

“Well,” she started, covering her head as some boxes smashed nearby. “I admit I didn’t expect quite this result. But I’m sure it won’t last for that long. It wasn’t that concentrated.”

But those words rang pretty hollow as his tail puffed out yet again, pushing against the ceiling, walls, floor, and boxes all over until the soda inside burst forth and covered parts of his silver fur. He yelped in surprise as some of that fizzy liquid came out and soaked parts of his tail, and then yelped again as his head ran right into the ceiling.

“Shoot, that hurt!” he said as he tried to duck down further. “Are you okay?”

“For now, yes. You could ease up on the grip though,” the bunny replied, her lab coat wet with some of the energy drink and her head just barely poking out of the snow leopard’s hand. He could hold her whole body in a single hand; clearly the ‘not lasting for that long’ comment from earlier wasn’t going to be true.

Aussie let up on his grip right away though to give her space, just as another spurt of growth sent his tail pushing against the walls yet again and his head up into the ceiling again. Harder this time but not as damaging. Seemed that with his increased size came increased strength and an inability to be harmed even from that concrete warehouse. The pressure on the walls increased as that tail grew though, but seeing as it was partially not filled with anything but air it wasn’t yet enough to break any walls. But it did fill about eighty percent of the building now while Aussie’s body filled the remaining twenty.

Aussie grunted and struggled against boxes and walls and more boxes and geez it sure was getting crowded in there. With another gurgle in his stomach the snow leopard braced himself to finish off the job. The walls of the building exploded outward as his tail suddenly grew to destroy the entire back of the warehouse. It was now just as long and bulky as the whole warehouse used to be. And his head pushed out the top to survey the area around. He mewed in surprise and struggled to free himself from the concrete.

“Urf... dang it... why does this always happen...” he muttered and finally stood up, taking down even more of the building as he did so. Brushing himself off with his hands he realized that something was missing. Someone that should have been in his hands the whole time.

During that growth spurt, the scientist must have slipped out of his grip. He tore away at the roof to get down inside and look for his friend, finding her at his foot covered from head to toe in energy drink. He bent over and picked her up as carefully as he could.

“Are you okay?” he asked, bringing her up to his face to check for injuries.

“Yes,” she coughed. “But not so much my lab coat.” It had ripped in several places and had dyed multi-colored by all the liquid in the warehouse. It seemed that nearly the entire stock of Monsterous Energy Drinks had been destroyed during Aussie’s expansion.

The feline breathed easily knowing that she had been safe the whole time. Considering how much smaller she was now… even smaller than a children’s doll. Maybe his fluffy body had cushioned her fall; there was plenty of it now to share. But perhaps sharing it at the moment wouldn’t be wise. His growth still hadn’t stopped, both his paws now filling the warehouse where previously his whole body fit. Just to keep his friend close by, he placed the rabbit on his shoulder and took a look around.

The warehouse was around a port apparently. Huge shipping cruisers sat in the harbor looking more like toy boats to the enormous snow leopard. He leaned down and waved at the sailors on it, giggling and smiling. Pretty soon the ship could’ve fit in only one hand and he continued to have to bend down further and further to see them. The warehouse below him was long gone, and his shadow covered nearly the whole harbor.

Clearly he wasn’t paying much attention to behind him at the time, because his extra large tail floof had stretched back out into the city, overtaking entire roads and enormous buildings with no effort. The tail cushioned each building though and no damage or harm seemed to come to any people or buildings or cars. Everything was simply pushed out of the way of the tail or smothered in its warmth. Aussie only realized what was going on once hundreds of paws started hugging into him, turning around to see what was going on.

His height was now nearing the size of most skyscrapers, and hadn’t slowed down. He tried to turn around entirely but his tail got caught on all the buildings. He yelled as his movement was caught and instead of turning he got pulled backward onto his rump. He sailed through the air and landed next to the city.

“Ack! Ouch... didn’t realize being this big would hurt this much. You okay on there?” he asked.

She let go of Aussie’s neck and walked backward so he could see her. The rabbit sighed, covering up her chest. “Yeah, I’m fine. Surprised that I can still talk to you at your size.”

“Yeah you shouldn’t even be visible anymore. Uhm... are you getting bigger too?”

She nodded and looked herself over. She had gone back to being nearly large enough to fit in a single hand of the humongous feline. “Pretty sure. Lost my lab coat a while ago. I think it must be due to all that energy drink you broke a while ago; it pretty much drenched me. So now I’m growing along with you.”

Aussie was blushing now. “Well that’s good, at least I won’t be huge alone. But we should find you some clothes at some point.”

“What, you wouldn’t want me like this? I could give you a peek if that would change your mind,” she practically sang.

Now he was blushing even harder. “No, that’s okay!” He picked her off his shoulder and snuggled her into his chest now. She squealed happily as the fluff enveloped her, cuddling into the bed of snow leopard she found herself held by. Were she back on the ground she’d be a formidable giant in her own right, approaching 150 feet of beautiful bunny giant. It just so happened that her biggest friend made that seem puny in comparison.

The skyscrapers weren’t much match for Aussie’s height anymore. He could look out over the roofs of most buildings now, even while sitting down. During their conversation his butt had continued encroaching on the city, his fuzzy bottom and the enormous tail attached to it overtaking entire city blocks without even meaning to.

Something about the way all the cuddling furs felt on his tail, and rump, and the way he was still growing made Aussie feel extremely content. As though this were really the best way all of this could have ended. And despite all the energy drink running through his system, all the endorphins seemed to be making him feel very drowsy. He yawned wide, showing off his teeth to a helicopter that was flying nearby for a news station.

The snow leopard decided to not fight the sleepiness anymore. It might have been a good idea to move further away from the city since he still hadn’t stopped growing yet. But no one seemed to be getting hurt, and for the most part the city was safe under his expanding bulk. His tail had spread out past the city limits entirely by this point, even reaching into the next city over based on his height. Maybe he should just take a break. Growing to enormous heights was exhausting work after all.

Before he could though he needed to be sure his friend could be comfortable. So he picked her off his shoulder and set her down on the ground near his tail. She got the message easily, clinging to that tail with all her might. Inside the floof she noticed a few tiny furs also enjoying the warmth. Why not share some bunny gal bosom as well? So she cuddles up with those tinies and let them crawl around, safe between her breasts and sighed happily.

Aussie lay down amongst the buildings and curled his tail along up to his body. It was still proportionally absolutely massive, dragging trees and buildings and other furs along with it into a huge circle around the snow leopard. The tail was easily a hundred times longer than Aussie’s overall height, inflated to balloon like proportions and dwarfing mountain ranges in the far distance. He made a nice bed for himself inside that tail floof and yawned yet again. Seemed his insomnia had finally been cured after all. Although maybe not in the most traditional way of doing so.

As the feline began to purr, shaking the country and its inhabitants to their core with the pleasant rumbling, his rabbit friend sighed and curled herself up inside his floof as well. There was no need to really worry anymore, everyone was safe. Her friend’s growth still hadn’t stopped yet. Even her own growth wasn’t stopping yet; she could have rivaled Aussie’s size back when he was looking over the tops of the skyscrapers now. Still didn’t matter now that the landscape blanketing snow leopard had her in his tail’s graps. And in the back of her mind she thought that maybe it would be a good idea to tell Aussie about the trick she’d played earlier, back in the warehouse.

A trick that involved those two vials. How they were actually both the concentrated version of the energy drink. And how at least part of that purring was likely from the effects of the second vial starting to kick its growth in. Maybe she would tell him that once he woke up.

It has a ton of water inflation and macro, so if you enjoyed this go check that out!

Another longer story too at around 8000 words. Feels a little more comfortable to get to the bigger word counts now. But still had a few speed bumps on the road to getting this done. More learning for the future I guess. :B
