One of the things I love about creating characters and writing down their stories is to see how they change over time with me.
My own experiences and knowledges influence their past and personal evolution, making them grow at my same pace.
That's what happened with Kyoko: she's been one of my first characters used in public roleplays , something I have never experienced before 6 years ago (has it already been so long?); I was very shy and timid and, willingly or not, this reflected on my way to perform her.
As the number of my characters grew larger, I left her aside and never took the proper time to update and develop her thoroughly.
 
Recently I've been exploring - thanks to Fyre's irreplaceable help! - what if my characters would be evil?
What experiences would bring them to become as such? What would they do? What would they think? How would they coexist in their society?
That's where I started putting the seed of evil inside of many of my creations; some got more, some got less.
And suddenly their stories and shenanigans become much more interesting and funnier to witness, write, illustrate and meme about.

Kyoko was trying to find her place on Amkarya, she was fearful and unsure about how she could be useful to others.
Veran (Fyre's character), who's the vice-head chief of "police", suggested her to join their ranks in keeping the peace on the planet and help in dangerous missions thanks to Kyoko's very resilient nature (and well-equipped biology to take care of amkaryan lifeforms).
That's where our dragoness met a Namazak - in our universe, the physical manifestations of emotions and concepts - born from negative emotions (black Namazaks) and Kyoko ate them. Although she was sure to have taken care of them, Namazak's specialty is to take control over other creature's bodies, since they don't have a body of their own: this led to a sort of fusion between the Namazak and Kyoko's soul, blending their minds and desires together.
That's where the new "Kyoko" originated. The change was slow and almost unnoticeable, but now she really enjoys feasting upon unaware amkaryans... when she's not seen!
 
- Most of my dragon characters do have their original feral form and a humanoid one they use from time to time.
While I haven't completed Kyoko's feral form redesign yet, I updated her humanoid appearance.
I love the slight menacing and inviting gaze of this picture, it really brings out her new character! -
