the section of kids are broken off into divisions and the first division aren't really hostile like other kids- they're actually more supportive in their group even though they're the group with the strongest language barrier considering two can't talk at all and gustav speaks german and ayumu, japanese, of course

EMIL WOULD SPEAK GERMAN TOO AND GETS EXCITED LIKE A PUPPY WHEN GUSTAV TALKS but alas.....

cais can talk to an extent but it strains his throat and gives him major pains and discomfort so he usually chooses not to talk at all, though if he could it'd be vietnamese
