Encountered a bit of decision paralysis on what my next WIP to tackle would be so I settled for this one, Starlie’s sibling! I’ve had this one a while, since around the time I made Starlette’s reference I think, and with a little story to go with him. c:

The characters from this world come from falling stars, but they are essentially formless energy prior to landing somewhere. Starlie split off as a tiny fragment of one of these, which is why she’s so much smaller than others her age. The other part remained in the sky, now searching endlessly for its missing piece. With the desperation to be reunited and remaining formless for so long, it become a large and monstrous being, tearing across the sky and nearly destroying Starlie’s village upon arrival to her planet. Starlie, feeling an inherent connection to her long-lost sibling, approaches this being without fear and calms him down.

Starlow, even though he finally forms a body after reuniting with Starlie, still maintains some of the monstrous features of his prior form, such as his two tails, extra eyes and sharp teeth. He is self-conscious of these traits, and spends a lot of his time making up for the fear and destruction he caused the villagers, but he still finds a loving home with Starlette and Starlie nonetheless. His new hat, cloak and later wand are symbols of that.

I’m thinking of making a short comic of this story, though I’m not sure if I’ll do more than one. Depending on how long it is I might post a preview and then link somewhere to read the whole thing. If I do end up making more, I could maybe make a little anthology or something. Would you guys be interested in seeing that? Either way, it’s always cute and fun to add more to this cute little universe. :’D
