Conrad can have moments where he snaps and becomes violent and unreasonable. It's part of having the Warilla curse.
Jake, unfortunately, doesn't know when to back down, so he gets the brunt of most of these switches with Conrad. Maybe, hopefully, he learns and doesn't push Conrad too far. @_@
