As one who has seen the life-long effects that abuse (of any form) has on the emotional and physical state of people I take it extremely seriously. Don't get the wrong I have been fortunate enough that I have not been the victim of domestic abuse or abuse of any form but again I've seen what it does to people.

Don't joke around about it and never just tell people to "get over it"
