Interesting resource. I'll look into it.
As for the design focus, originally it was going to be some sort of command ship... but the design and focus kept changing with every every sketch. What I uploaded here is just one of many. I could upload the rest of my random spaecship concept sketches if you want to look at them.

hmm, if you're getting stuck design wise, i'm looking at this and wondering if you've seen feng zhu's vehicle/industrial design videos? http://fengzhudesign.com/tutorials.htm there's a HUGE amount of resources for coming up with and varying/detailing designs like these :D
i like the overall shape you've got going though! it reads to me as being speed focussed?
