My Wolf
His coat is white and iron gray
His eyes a glowing gold
I've seen him in my deepest dreams
The mirror of my soul
His heart is wild his soul untamed
His piercing gaze forever free
I know him well the wolf within
Because he is a part of me.
He sings in my soul when I stand in the forest
He stands at my side in the face of a storm
He growls in defiance when things stoke my anger
He comforts my heart when I'm lost and forlorn
Don't think to judge me for what I am saying
Don't try to tell me that I've lost my mind
Until you have searched deep within your own being
For in the search I know what you will find
In everyone there lives a part
As wild as the wolf in me
To find it you must search your heart
And break the chains to set it free
To scoff and say they don't exist
Will only prove that you are blind
My wolf's paw has wrote this verse
As surely as this hand of mine
A look at what dwells within
