He is lucky enough to have taken those last 4 steps away from the blast radius of the hardware he was inspecting. Even with hardened cyberbrains that is something that is a little too lethal even for a cyborg.
Once he gets out of there he won't be any worse to wear...mostly, he is probably going to be a little melted on the backside and will require light repairs.
