It was hard to not think about every little step it took to get here, he mused as mechanical arms pulled the wings off of his back, from a focus of freedom to honestly a very structured corporate position. It’s a bit difficult to separate the two halves of himself at this point, especially since being cyberized, he can sort memories fine but thoughts felt completely indistinct.

He felt the first of the two utility tool slot into his back, prompting rapid fire hardware protocol handshakes and checks. He gave the first limb a flex and run through of articulation, it was always the times when he had time to just stand still that these thoughts boiled up but alas he had a bomb to defuse. Finally the last limb slotted in and synced to his frame, and quickly the shell to protect him was settled around his shape. Wide gaps between each shrapnel plate filled with hoses of bulk material which maintained his mobility and protects him from the shockwave of explosives.

The solid mask closed up around his head pushing his vision to the wide multi-camera array. He called out, bypassing his vocal cords to speakers and wifi, “I’m ready.”
