This was a conceptual piece for my last painting class, the subject being very simply the title.
Mirrors are much more than reflections. Some are blind to what is there, some are all too aware, and some choose not to care.
In this case I wanted the figure to be beautiful, and the reflection to show what she really feels inside.
At the time I was studying Marilyn Monroe and all the art she inspired from the time period, I think this was my response to it in retrospect.
