Miara (Me-aira) sat up confused.

Where was she? How long was she here for? Has she been asleep?

The room she was in was dark and dusty. Like no one has been here to mind it for some years now. However, looking upon her own body, she hadn't aged like the room has. --Miara looked about the room once again.

She was sitting on a bed. In a bedroom. It... seemed familiar, but the thought passed almost as soon as the thought assembled itself. The room was aged. The mirror across the room was broken and dusty. The decorated Victorian walls were pealing. The stuffed animals aside her and the carpeted floor alike contained the same amount of dust and misery.

Miara's bare feet welcomed themselves to the carpet; felt normal.

As she walked, her eyes were brought to the mirror. Even though it was cracked and dusted, she could still see herself well enough to get a good idea of what she looked like; tanned skin, old looking hair, yellow eyes, and markings. Yellow eyes meaning, both her eyes were yellow, retina and all. It was like she wasn't even human. Oh, but the markings. They weren't tattoos or wounds that couldn't heal any further. They were strange lines under her eyes that twisted down her face. Sure, she was curious as to what they were, but at the same time she wasn't worried about the question, "What was she?"

The rest of her looked normal for the most part.

A thin material gown with lace straps covered her body. Seeing as how there was nothing more to report to herself, she moved on, leaving the room far behind her. Wondering down the hallway aimlessly, Miara's ears were brought to attention. A noise. A noise from afar that continued in the same tone. Just... A long beep without the 'p'. Miara followed it to another room that was just as dusty, old, and miserable as the one she found herself in. Only in this one, there was something on the bed with a cover on top, and on top of the cover, was a locket. But first... the noise. It came from some sort of... machine with wires hanging from it; Miara didn't want to mess with it. The noise wasn't doing her harm or annoying her, so she didn't worry about it. The locket consisted of a golden casing and a picture inside; the locket was already open, and just as aged as everything else. The picture? It was a girl on one side, and a boy on the other.

They were both young. The boy looking older than the girl. The two didn't look familiar, but Miara took the possession anyway, and left the room.

Jee. Same pose as https://www.weasyl.com/submission/82280

BUT I DON'T CARE. I'MLAZY.

I drew this because I don't have a SteamPunk character, so I figured I should make one. But when I actually drew out the character designe I had in mind and colored it, she didn't come out steampunk-ish.

I figured I should write a little story to go along with the picture to give out some hints about her back story; she is a cyborg-thing. ... Is that mainstream in the Steampunk world?

LOL, who am I kidding? This isn't even Steampunk.

Hashtag poser?
