Deah'bitte by abraxus

Deah'bitte

abraxus

A Deah'bitte (pronunciation: deahbitteh) or Deathbite is a well armored aquatic creature with a thick natural exoskeleton that holds a distinctive musk that smells faintly like oil or petrol. They are incredibly social creatures that are found in tightly knit hierarchies called spillages because as they swim in groups with their lingering scent, one could mistake their black cloud in the water as an oil spill.

The strange mouth design and digestive anatomy is much like that of an aquatic filtering system as their diet consists of water matter that they scrape off underwater rocks and pebbles with the use of their frontal large claws and because of their filtering system, enemy spillages will fight other spillages for their clean water area since the spillage that has the cleanest water in their territory will breed the most.

Their mating dance consists of repeatedly hitting each other with the use of their large chin bones and splashing the water around them with their paddle-like tails to create large splashes. And using a special organ near the back of their legs that vibrates with high intensity, they can also make their splashes look anything but natural.
