Sketch Project - #2 by AbelMelveny (critique requested)

Sketch Project - #2 (critique requested)

I don't usually do flat-picking with my music - as I'm not very proficient at it. I have been playing with a group of musicians in the last few months, though, and re-learning the skill a bit.

Here's a simple progression we've been playing around with. Chords make my hands hurt.

Em - D - Em - B - A - G - A - G
Em - D - Em - B - C - D

E - Em - E - F

F#mbb5 - Bmbb5 - E - A7
F#mbb5 - Bmbb5 - D7 - G#7 - D#5 - C#5

C#5 - D5 - back to the beginning.

Pretty fun if you want to jam out a bit with friends.

when you right like this F#mbb5 what do the two flats mean? i can understand the flat fifth maybe but wouldn't "f sharp minor flat" just be "f minor"?

        That would be double-flat

        I feel like my original response wasn't satisfactory. There's a C# in the F#m chord. Play a B instead, and you've got your double-flat 5th.
