An ARPG piece featuring my Kismet and joaniek on dA's Ailee. Also revamped Kismet's flower, it's sort of pansy-like now. Just need to update her reference!

Kismet had found the clearing a while ago. It was quiet and secluded, hidden from where most of the herd went. In lay in the middle of a dense forest, a glassy pond at its center. She'd found the place by accident, wandering after an insect that buzzed in front of her. The only entrance was to push through the low-hanging leaves and branches of an old tree. It instantly took hold on her, and she returned many times, enjoying the quiet space, watching as the sun set and the stars shone in the sky. As time went by, her flowers began to grow where her hooves had stepped, but to Kismet's surprise, another's flowers began to grow in the same place, beautiful flowers that she did not recognize. Kismet had never seen another minkin at this place, but clearly it was someone else's thinking spot too, someone else's hideout. She grew more and more curious, and tried to vary the times that she visited the clearing, in hopes of meeting the flowers' creator. The other minkin clearly came there about as often as she did, yet somehow they kept missing each other, until dusk one day. Kismet was settling down for the evening, the sun having set but the stars not yet showing, when the soft sound of footfalls reached her ears and the other minkin, whose name she'd learn was Ailee, appeared. The two were nervous at first, but exited to finally meet each other, and quickly became friends.
