A little explanatory doodle I've been wanting to get out there~
Often I draw ballet boots without laces or zippers, partly due to being lazy, but mostly because I prefer a seamless look to the footwear. They can be molded in many configurations; with or without heels, or other shoe shapes~
Additionally, since the rubber cast is molded completely around the foot, it leaves no gaps that can lead to discomfort, and it's rigid composition provides complete support for optimal movement en pointe~
The same technique can be applied to hands, such as hoof mitts, etc. or entire limbs~

This idea is a few thousand years old. But it's still a good one.

Now that's rather a fancy idea! Sounds like it'd be quite comfy - though me being the perv I am, I can't help but wonder what it might be like to apply the technique to the entire body.
