(AL-low-preen-ing). Mutual preening between two birds, the main purpose of which is to reduce the instinctive aggression when birds are in close contact. In the breeding season, allopreening helps to strengthen pair bonds. This behavior is especially common in parrots (remember Larkspur is 1/4 parrot).
Also this gives a decent size comparison. I think Larkspur is a little bit bigger than that, but I couldn't be assed to fix it once I got the wing done.
