So this is the first of my race of Soul Eaters. Meet Antu. He's modeled on an Anteater, Octopus and demon. Soul Eaters are invisible creatures that hunger for human souls every hundred years. The tips of their tails are sharp like knives for self defense or killing prey. They have octopus like tentacles which they use to immobilize their prey, suck on their fear and then, when they are done savoring, they stick their snout into the prey's mouth or ear and suck out their soul. When Soul Eaters come of age they are given the chance to choose a weapon to fill the hole in their tail, or more decorative jewelry. If jewelry is chosen, they tend to decorate the pieces with complementary gems marking the number of souls devoured. Currently Antu is at four. This piece has an inset showing the suckers and raised ridges of the underside of the tentacles.
