This piece was a commission for my cousin to give to her boyfriend for his birthday. It features her boyfriend's father, who has passed. In life, he was a bullrider and a Navajo medicine man. His animal sign was the bear. The turquoise jewelry symbolizes that he's now with the creator.

Almost everything in this picture has some meaning. :) He wore a red vest and black hat when he rode. The background is painted based on photographs of where they live; Monument Valley, UT. I could really never do that place justice, it's beautiful there.
