Yeah, but being a dick to someone who's obviously just looking for help isn't exactly something I'd sympathize with someone about. I dunno. She's cute and all, just not very pleasant.

Yeah, but keep in mind: she knew who James was, and her main knowledge of him was that he seemed to make Mary sad. While obviously the whole situation was way more complicated than that, she had it in her head that he was being mean to her friend and had no particular reason to be nice to him. Of course, she's also a total brat, but I'm a fan of unpleasant characters, personally. Otherwise I'd probably hate EVERYBODY in Silent Hill 2, lol.

Haha, no worries. A lot of the characters in the game took a long time to grow on me but when you start thinking about it too much, turns out they're all pretty sympathetic in their own way.

Yeah, yeah. Definitely. Though I think my favorite character out of SH: 2 has to be Eddie, who (at first glance) doesn't seem to deserve any sympathy. Ha ha. Maybe it's due to his horrible past, or inability to sympathize with others, ironically.

Oh man, Eddie doesn't get enough love at all, it's very sad. :( I really like him as well, he's such an important part of the game but I think a lot of people miss the point of his character.

He really doesn't. B( Don't see why everyone just looks past him, and doesn't actually understand why he's there. S'kinda upsetting, y'know?

I FEEL YOU, DUDE. To me, Eddie is a really masterful example of the power of storytelling. You're set up in his intro scene to feel disgusted by him-- and then when his true colors are revealed, you realize that people thinking the exact same things about him as YOU are the ones who made him that way. One of the most chilling moments in the game, imo, and it really makes you think.
UNFORTUNATELY, like with most things, I think that flies over the heads of a lot of people. Silent Hill is a pretty subtle series and most folks don't do well with subtleties.-
Gosh, yeah. I'm feeling you 236%. I notice the small details like that, and I pick up on things like that. A lot of others, don't. It's just really nice to know that there are others out there that aren't as over-looking.

No worries, Silent Hill is my jam. Anyone who knows me can tell you that I am way too overinvested in this dumb horror series, haha.

Ha ha, yeah. Speaking of horror game obsessions, my lady has a real passion for 'em. Silent Hill is one of her favorite series. She studies that stuff like religion! It's great. You should shoot her a message sometime. I'm sure she'd really appreciate it.
