Celare by Rococospade

Celare

Rococospade

A gift commission with a fairly open prompt; "a narwhal and a girl" with the girl resembling the recipient. Following that and feedback on the thumbnail sketches I tried to construct a narrative around a lonely princess at the bottom of the sea.
Celare is from Latin, it means hide - and it's part of the origin of the word 'concealed'.

I don't recall painting anything like this before.

The chains were laid down with a chain brush by Darkodev on deviantart. The set they're contained in can be found here: www.deviantart.com/darkodev/ar… and are super useful if you use clip studio paint.

I'm going to start putting in links like the one on the bottom right of the painting. Commissioners get unwatermarked high resolution versions of their pieces (as do $2+ patrons with my other works) and commission discounts.
