Summary:

Decades ago, a grey, grizzled old, one-eyed, stick-figure cat named Ella Pawman retired from show business as a popular cartoon character. After ending her career, Ella used some of her riches to start up a special organization -- the "Ella Pawman Squad", which specializes in rescue and law-enforcement for all cartoon characters everywhere in the world.

Ella's 16-year-old granddaughter, Jaycee Pawman, visits her one day to spend some quality time watching Ella's old black-and-white cartoons with her. While watching a biography on Ella, Ella's senility becomes apparent as she tells Jaycee that she now owns the Ella Pawman Squad (soon to be called the "Jaycee Pawman Squad") and all of it's responsibilities.

Jaycee Pawman is thrown from her typical life of a teenager to spend all her time in the JPS building. Confused and naive, she finds a friend in her two squad partners -- her bitchy, female Canadian superhero cousin Cat Canada, and Wayne Gates, the most laziest, rotund, un-dead genius in the world. Together, Jaycee, CC and Wayne (plus others) must solve the problems of other cartoon characters in need.
