Asgore, also known as the Trident of Patience, developed his powers after absorbing the SOUL fragment of Patience when saving a human from nearly drowning. He was granted the ability to communicate with flora and the power to control weather and plant life using his mighty blade-tipped trident. His powerful, regal appearance grants him the appearance of a god, specifically a Greek god.
