Here's my art summary of 2016 :)
What defined my creative work more than anything else this year was using a quality drawing tablet from Wacom, which was a huge departure from the cheap one I had used sparingly before and learned to hate xD
It was easily worth the money, and with it began my journey of developing a style in a medium that was still pretty new to me. I soon realized it would replace the traditional mediums I had used for coloring before almost completely. Convenience won in the end.
One of the few trad pieces I did this year was when I stayed in Berlin for EF22. It was easier to carry a box of pens on the plane instead of my entire pc set-up xD
I'm still doing the sketches for all my pics in graphite though, as I find it still not feasible for me personally to sketch fast and loose on a screen that feels disconnected from what I'm doing manually. Also commission work is so much more stress free in the digital medium, I wouldn't want to miss it anymore.
