I've got this really vivid imagine here, of this taking place right after the heat of the day, midsummer's evening, in the shade of a cool tree. After a long morning of dragon riding, or hopping, (whatever dragon riding rabbits do) he takes off his jacket and his armor, and sticks his big, hot feet in that chilly river (I can practically hear the steam coming off his feet, pssst, haha). Right before sitting in the rapids, he hears a large branch snap in the distance, putting him on alert, hiding himself behind a rock a little and asking, "Who's there?"
