Elly was not initially my character. She was merely a Gomamon a friend when we rped together. Eventually we decided to make her an anthro. I admit, over time I've taken a liking to her and started drawing her. Let it be said, though, that Elly has had various "anthro" looks over the years. I do have earlier pics than shown in the right but the bulk of them were a bit risque so I went with what you see.

I eventually kinda sorta... adopted Elly. I really liked her. Her cheerfulness, the designs I worked with, her dash of eccentricities. I also have the habit of... plumping her up. Every time I shrink her down she gains her weight right back.

Also, over time I decided to make her more unique, design wise. She was a Gomamon, but I wanted to try do differentiate her a bit. Altered her hair, gave her furry forearms and shins, changed her sclera (which didn't last long, I admit). I even made her brown as a joke to the fact that she really likes chocolate, which is why her initial brown design was called "Choco-Elly".

I eventually decided to not make Elly a straight up Gomamon, although having features that resemble them somewhat. This is why I no longer refer to Elly as a "Gomamon", although she has no actual species

There was a comment someone made about how much Elly changed in a year and I was prompted to make this. For all I know, she'll be redesigned within the year, but she's one of my favorite characters... despite her not being fully mine.
