There was an awkward pause.

"Y... you guys look mad. One moment..." the large beast spoke, in a rather plain and nasal voice. He pulled the small glasses in his unchanged hand to his eye. His eye widened, seeing the weapons pointed at him, "yeah... very mad..." then covering both eyes.

The large beast cowered in one of the offices, his office. His large tail grew in front of them, exposing him in a way that was already blatantly clear.
It shuddered and shook, both in physical shock from the transformation and in anxious fear, the large carnivore expecting the worst.

The security team lowered their rifles; they found the stolen sample, about twenty feet from the containment locker it was stolen from. Two hours late. Completely used up, by the dinosaur in front of them.

They had no idea what to do. This was a new situation. It was a robbery of the highest value asset at YAE Corporation, committed by the creator of said asset, used by its creator, and now he was transforming into a large ferocious beast before their eyes.

The worst part, he was none of that. He was docile and compliant. And he was even able and willing to talk. They had no cause to shoot. There was nothing they could do with him except wait until morning with him in custody and let HR deal with the real mess.

The animal had its eyes covered, whimpering as it heard footsteps. Deinonychus could feel a padded glove clutching his claw.

"Stand up, sir... you need to come with us..."

Shaken, the head researcher looked up. "Are they going to fire me, Dale?"

"Probably... but we're gonna get some coffee for now and wait until morning..."

The creature bared his teeth, before letting out a sigh. It's heart rate started to slow as he stood up. Claw in hand, the creature struggled to walk with the task force to where the coffee machine was, leaving his old life in tatters behind.

He felt embarrassed. The others felt a bit tense.

I was inspired by seeing some fan art/TF works by skywalkergirl666 on FA, involving some lovely flesh colored raptor people, so I thought I'd throw my own interpretation into the mix.

And then I wrote a story all over it. I can't stop myself :S
