I originally planned to draw something completely different for her, but things didn't turn out well.

I drew this in honour of Brittany's mother's birthday. She would be 38 this year.

As some of Brittany's close friends probably know, she uses candles as a way of connecting to her lost loved ones and in particular her mother. Candles are very special to her, and the act of lighting one and sitting with her is quite a close and meaningful one. I've sat with Brittany a few times during these reflections of hers and by request chose to depict these scenarios with our fursonas Hayley (hers) and Shaun (mine). There are also a few details hidden in here which are quite personal which only Brittany will probably notice or take meaning to.

I don't really have much else to say about this piece.
