Rico Johnson is a character I created back in 2008 in order to take part in an EarthBound RolePlay (EBRP) group on deviantArt. Here's an excerpt from my dA upload of his picture.

I recently got interested in an old RPG game called EarthBound while browsing the deviations created by the fan community here at deviantART. I learned early on that there's an EarthBound RolePlay (EBRP), and since all the good characters are taken, I created my own. ^^; I'm gonna ask around with the RP veterans I've gotten acquainted with what they think of him before officially requesting to join.

Below is the profile I wrote up at the time for my FC. I recently redrew Rico and will probably include an modified version, but here's what I wrote for him back in '08.

Name: Ricardo James Johnson, aka Rico (Rico, 'cause I like the name, James for Jimmy Carter--you'll see why later--and Johnson, 'cause the Puerto Rican motto means "John is his name" lol; if he ever gets PK Girl'd, his--er, her name would be Ricita [shot])
Age: 12-13 
Gender: Male
Dominant Hand: Left
Abilities/Skills: Music, some scientific knowledge
PSI Powers: PK Freeze (alpha), PK Fire (alpha), PK Sheild (alpha), PK Heal (alpha)--note, he is a beginner at this, so all his moves are still at alpha--he's trying to learn PK Thunder, and at some point while at EB Mansion, he learns a move called PK Clone, but he performs it inproprely on himself and insanity ensues, 'cause he keeps cloning indefinately (that is, every once and awhile, one of his clones splits into new clones), and he can communicate telepathically to some extent, though long distance gives him a nasty headache
Weapon: None that I can think of; he'll pretty much use whatever's at hand, usually.
Favorite Food: Umm... pea soup
Likes: Music, singing, games, friendship, a good laugh, swimming (when warm enough), snowball fights (when cold enough), and randomly shouting in various exaggerated accents
Dislikes: Boredom, rude people, emo people, sour krout, brocclli, fighting unless it's ABSOLUTELY necessary
Appearance: Peurto-Rican Canadian boy with black hair, blue eyes, off-white gray thin turtleneck under a light navy tanktop, khaki jeans, teal shoes.
Personality: Rico's a generally easygoing fellow who likes hanging out and having fun. He's a generally loyal friend, though he can be defiant if in a cranky enough mood or he feels something isn't right. He has a somewhat silly sense of humor and likes to break out in song or talk in some distinct accent on occasion. Rico knows how to play a few instruments, including the piano and trumpet, and his favorite band, especially after moving into the EB Mansion, is the Runaway Five. Rico's a pretty smart kid, particularly in English and Science, though he more than occasionally has his less-than-bright moments. He can also be a tad impatent sometimes, and he panics kind of easily. But when push comes to shove, Rico's a brave and resourceful kid.
History: Rico's parents came from Peurto Rico to central USA as kids in the 50's. When the Vietnam War rolled around and Rico's dad-to-be was called for drafting, he and his gal ran away to Canada (British Columbia, to be exact), where they were married and considered fugitives from U.S. government until President Jimmy Carter pardoned all Draft Dodgers.
Their first son, Hector, is 9 years older than Rico, their first daughter, Gladys, is 6 years older, their second daughter Maya, is 2 years older, and then there's Rico himself.
When their parents came to B.C., they formed a close fraternal bond with a neighbor named Tuke, who became an uncle to the kids. Rico became especially close to him when it became apparaent that he had somehow inherrited PSI powers from somewhere. Where? No one knows, particularly since none of his other siblings have it. Uncle Tuke was able to teach Rico some basic abilities before he died of a stroke when Rico was 9.
Around when Rico was 11, his parents signed him up as an international boarder at Snow Woods Academy, where he met Jeff. It was the famous EarthBound mechanic that directed him to EB Mansion where he could further his PSI training.

I honestly don't even remember the EBRPs, but I'd guess from the profile I wrote just to join in they were some openly interesting ones. Also, apparently there was some FC someone had that was supposedly created from Giygas and Ness's DNA, and he called them Daddy and Mommy, respectively. I don't understand it either.
