Haunter's lick is fatal to humans, but since this is Ghastly, he was able to break into Ally's mind and eat away any dreams that would cause her to shake too violently and die while her poke'mon were able to get help. (He was the one that licked her in the first place, though, so this is all his fault! )

(Nurse panel) I love how she has no idea this whole time Gold can talk to Pokemon in her head.
If I had that ability to talk to any creature in their mind, that would not only 1. be able to figure out why or what they would be doing the actions, and 2. It's nice to communicate with creatures who can't really talk in reality.
