Watching students in the training room is actually a pretty popular way to kill time. It’s good for entertainment and study purposes, which is why the viewing rooms are there. Even though Matoaka’s largely going up against machines, entire teams congregate to use the room as practice. What you see above is just a fraction of the training room’s capabilities; it’s also capable of simulating different terrain, weather conditions, and holographic opponents - though that last part has been in beta for ages and still doesn’t work quite right.

I hadn’t drawn the comparison between the Danger Room and the GBA training room until I was almost done with the page.
