Monoprice tablet on OSX Mavericks?

Does anyone know how to get this tablet to work on Mavericks? Every time I bring the pen to the tablet, the cursor immediately goes to the bottom of the screen. I know it's not broken because I tested it on my friend's computer which runs W7. This is maddening. :<
