So, apparently, the price table that I put up earlier was a bit… well… scary.

And I honestly agree. I had to redo the math a few times just to get it to where I was comfortable with it, and I still feel like it’s a bit much. Also, there’s a lot of time variance in these things and if we’re going by hour, sometimes things may take a while, sometimes they don’t.

All of the numbers on the table are estimates based on $15/hr of how long it would take me to finish said picture. Now, being that they’re estimates, not all pictures do that and as I work, I might get faster. It depends on a lot of things and some of them I really don’t have experience with so I was estimating them just as a guess.

I’m flying by the seat of my pants here, people.

So here’s a question, and if you want to let me know, PLEASE PM me or message me or e-mail me:

Would you prefer to keep the prices as I’ve figured them, at a flat rate for each item?

Would you prefer to pay by the hour using vouchers (1 hour, 2 hour, 5 hour, etc.) and then just have me draw whatever you like for that time period, knowing that different styles take different amounts of time?

I personally would rather work per hour as it is more fair to my customers and more fair to me, but I worry that people would be concerned that I might not work as hard or slack off if I’m getting paid by the hour. (I would never do that, but I can understand why people might feel that way.)

Also, with the form, some people have said that it’s a bit… stiff? Like I’m trying to be too professional? I mean, I am trying to be professional. It’s my job. nvn;

But I am still just… me. I’m just learning how to do all of this, you know? I’m trying to be disciplined, but I don’t want to scare any of you off either.

So let me know what you think! Are the prices scary? Would you rather that I charge by the hour? If I did, would you prefer if I charge via prepaid blocks, or after the piece is done? I really need this feedback, guys, so let me know.

These aren’t set in stone, after all, and I’m trying to do what’s best for me, as an artist, and what’s best for my customers. Because you know I love all of you, and it means a lot that you support me the way you do.
