Okay, I have heard of this going around the fandom lately where costume companies, particularly ones out in China, are doing some false advertising with stolen photos of fursuiters in the fandom, being offered for like $100 to $300, with free shipping, but in return comes some shitty-ass costume. THIS IS BOTH COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT, FALSE ADVERTISING, AND JUST PLAIN WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, why am I bringing this up? Well, I was browsing Fur Affinity just a minute before I started writing this journal before getting off for the night, and yes, I still see both the normal furry ads on Fur Affinity and as well as a few local 3rd party online ads that I usually see here in the Central Florida area, and what caught my eye was an advertisement for fursuits costing $300, and the ones that were on the ad was a few suits I know in the fandom, with one of them being Felix The Fox's beautiful suit from Fursuiting.com. What really pissed me off too was that when I looked closer, it has Chinese characters (letters) in it. So... WHAT THE FUCK, CHINA!!!???!!! Somebody really does need to put a stop to it, and the only two sights I use to upload pictures of my fursuit would be either here on Fur Affinity, or on Weasyl, and yet have both of my accounts hidden from people who do not have an account on either FA or Weasyl, so only people in the fandom can view them.

Yes, I get it. Companies are desperate to make a quick buck by scamming stupid people, but what they are doing is 100% WRONG, AND ILLEGAL!!! IT'S TOTAL ARTISTIC THEFT!!! On Fur Affinity, and I haven't checked my submissions yet on Weasyl to see if they have this, but this right here, -> © This icon says it is copyrighted by the person who submitted the photo. Everybody on Fur Affinity has this, and I believe it's also too on Weasyl, but that icon means it is copyrighted, and others do not have the right to steal it and resubmit it for any purposes. Whether if it's claiming it as their own character, or as their own costume that they are selling, people do not have the right what-so-ever to steal the image and use it for their own purpose.

These suits are pretty much the same ones I saw too in the ad I saw here on FA, and someone needs to go after these fucking retards, and stop their illegal operations for quick money. Do the right thing people, and save up to commission actual fursuit makers to get your own characters and fursonas turned into the fursuit that YOU want! Yes, I know, commissioning fursuit makers is not cheap, but all I have to tell you is to keep in mind that you'll get what you pay for! A $300 fursuit of course is going to turn out shitty, but a fursuit that costs $1000, will be tailored to fit the individual who ordered the suit, and will be a lot better in terms of quality, whether if it's material, comfort, style, whatever!

So everyone out there in the community, spread the news about this! I'm not the kind of guy who starts drama, but I'm starting it because we got a reason to! People out there are using stolen pictures of our fursuits, so they can use it in false advertisement, just to sell you a cheap shitty-ass fursuit, which is nowhere near good as a professionally made fursuit made by an actual fursuit maker! I know a lot of people are desperate of getting their fursuit, and believe me, I got friends who want their first suit too, quite badly, but with these foreign companies making cheap rip-offs of current suits in the fandom is fucking ritarded, and they need to be stopped!

Be smart here, people! Commission official fursuit makers in the fandom, and let's hope that we can put an end to these rip-off artists who just want to make a quick buck!
