Like the title says. Yeah, I know there's that other, new Final Fantasy MMO that doesn't have like 13 years of age and pre-WoW lack of conveniences dragging it down, but screw that noise. Good ideas are for OTHER people.

Anyway, Final Fantasy XI was my jam for an enormous chunk of my life. I was never really that great at it and a lot of its more poorly aged elements drove me into indefinite hiatus back in 2013, but I still have an emotional attachment to Vana'diel that I could probably never have with Eorzea (not discounting the possibility of ever playing XIV, mind). Now, XI is going to stop receiving updates in November, and since I have the attachment to it that I do I kind of want to be there for a last hurrah. I dunno, I just have plenty of reasons both to return and to not bother so I'm not entirely sure what I want to do yet.

(I wish I knew which if any server is more LGBT-friendly than the rest, homophobic dickery was part of the reason I went on hiatus in the first place.)
