Unless we're doing a trade, I don't do art for free. Period. Why in the hell would you think I would? This is my passion, but I can't give handouts. You want me to design your tattoo? Pay me. It's only $20, and that's way cheaper than what a tattoo artist will charge you. Their base charge is $40 to $50! I'm sorry I'm not like your other friends who will give you free, half-assed art, that I charge for quality and time.
