nothing seems to be going right lately, first it was my computer, I did the free upgrade to Windows 10, but Windows Movie Maker didn't work on that, and I need that for my YouTube videos, to shrink the file size and also add the end-slate, so I reverted back to 8.1 and now Skype is broken, unable to be removed or uninstalled, same for my classic start menu and Microsoft Silverlight (which means no more Netflix for me)

if that weren't enough, I injured my back at work the other day, thankfully they're giving me worker's comp so I'm being paid all the days I'm missing, but it has led to a lot of confusion, especially today

when I went to the doctor's on Wednesday, they had me take a drug test, I'm guaranteed to pass since I don't do drugs, but it's still protocol and all that, and I can't actually return to work until I get the ok from them saying I passed, I looked at my schedule and it showed that I was scheduled to work today, so an hour before work, I called up asking if the results of my drug test came back yet, they said they'd find out and call me back, then, when there was only 20 min left until I'm supposed to work, I called them up again and asked if they found anything out yet, cause I'd like to know if I have to work before my shift actually starts, you know? they gave me the go-ahead to come in which made me assume that the results came in so I went in for work

when I got there, everyone was confused that I was there, they were all like "are you filling in for someone or something?" and I was like "no, I'm scheduled today" and then they checked the schedule I was given and go "oh, well you're not on this schedule" (the one for the floor walker) so I said that if I'm not needed I could just go home, but they said I was needed so I stayed

so I got my till and signed on in my register, and started working, but I didn't know standing around like you do as a cashier is really killer on your back, about an hour in I asked if I could have a chair or something but they said no chairs were allowed to the people working up front, so I just went back, also I was told that when I returned to work I'd be given light duty so I wouldn't throw out my back again, but I seemed to be doing everything I do normally, I mean I guess being a cashier isn't exactly "hard work" but still I thought it'd be a little different at least

a little latter this old lady cam into my line and checked out, like everyone else, but she asked if I could get her water from under the cart, I told her I couldn't be lifting anything right now but I could get the sacker to do it, but then she got all upset saying "I'm 75 and YOU can't be lifting anything?" and decided to just do it herself, even though I told her I could ask the sacker to, then later I got called up to customer service, I guess that lady complained about me and I got in trouble for it, which it really stupid

there was also a time today where I was the only lane open, aside from express, I mean... how is it that the guy with the bad back who's not even supped to be there is the only cashier open!?

also, since I wasn't on the floor-walker's schedule, my break wasn't listed either, I had to ask when my break would be far after I should have gotten it for them to let me go on break, and on break, I called the Nurse Case Manager, telling her about my confusion and everything, and she told me my drug test hadn't even come in yet, and I wasn't supposed to be at work at all, so she called the store and had them send me home finally

the thing that upsets me most is, all that happened today, my back pain from standing, the lady that got me in trouble, etc, all could have been avoided, I'm being paid for today, thanks to my worker's compensation, I could have just stayed at home and I still would have been paid, I wasted 4 hours of my day there, I really hope they pay me extra for the time I came in today, but I doubt that will happen, ugh, it's just so upsetting
