Ohh boy, more computer trouble by Myoti

Desktop is acting weird. Just froze up completely a little while ago, and did so once yesterday. I was running anything intensive at the time, just browser.

This second time it's acting extra strange. I reset it after it froze, and the power light would come on, but nothing on the monitor. After a few seconds it cut off, then automatically tried to cut back on, but did the same thing. It cut off then on again, this time the monitor shows the boot screen, but after a few seconds it cut off again, then went back to the light coming on but not the monitor.

I cut the whole thing off for now. It's been pretty warm the last few days and we live in the top floor, so I didn't know if that had anything to do with it? We also moved to a new place a few weeks ago so maybe something is loose? Figured I'd toss this out before I try messing with any hardware.

Edit: Back on for a moment, in BIOS mode it's listing CPU 100F, MB 84F. CPU Fans averaging around 980 to 1300RPM? I don't know if any of that means anything in relation to this.
Back into Windows, seems to be working fine for now, but I'll probably shut it off for awhile, in case any of this sounds like something that might be a future problem?

Edit2: Checked browser for a moment as well, just to see. After a minute or two it fully froze again. :[

100F is roughly 38C. That's a perfectly safe temperature for CPU; on the other hand, 100C would be damaging. Fan RPM doesn't matter all that much if your temps are good.

Based on what you're stating, my first guess would be RAM stick(s) have gone bad. Second guess would be video card. And least likely, motherboard.

This type of issue isn't that great to diagnosis over the internet unfortunately. Since you just moved, I'd try reseating (i.e. pulling out and putting back in) your memory sticks, video card, etc.

Also double-check to make sure you're not getting some kinda short somewhere inside the case (e.g. loose wire touching something it's not supposed to).

I opened it up earlier, made sure everything was in well, and took a can of air to it thoroughly. Been working okay for a few hours now. crosses fingers
RAM would be better than a lot of problems, though still annoying since I only have one stick (like, 2GB). @_@
