So, some of my self-portraits got removed because they weren't "artistic". So, I have it edit them, so they are artistic.

Yeah, one of the people who manages this site took down all of them, so when I got back, the only one that was left was, "Brightest of all colors"

Yea. And it's like ChainedLioness said, art is in the eye of the beholder. There are images I've found on here that I felt were strange, odd, of extremely poor quality, or flat out disgusting in their subject matter. But to someone, it's art, so rather than report them I just go to their profile and click the "Ignore" button and I don't have to see their submissions any more. It's simple, anonymous, and it does not infringe upon the artist's chosen form of expression.

Artists can be stuck up assholes. There's a ton of controversy of what photography is "art" and what isn't. Most likley the reason they reported you was because your refer to the photos as "selfies"- for professional and hobbyist photographers that word has an extremely negative connotation due to the fact of how flippantly most of those photos were taken, instead of the hours of work proffessionals put into the photos they take.
However, that is their opinion, and reporting you was prickish. Art is in the eye of the beholder, no matter what. :) Keep posting your photos, I love how you edit them!
