i've decided to migrate here for a bit, at least until deviantart picks itself back up again. i'm reinde-er, on there, for those that might know me.
i'll mostly be posting sketches and the like. back on da i usually reserved my uploads for just full pieces but i decided that was pretty counter-productive, and i've been doing a lot of sketchwork recently anyways. see you around.

pretty much. i've seen a lot of people moving along to tumblr and stuff as well. deviantart's going downhill pretty fast, and i've seen SO many people deactivate their account because the staff are being, for lack of a better word, buttholes.
weasyl seems way more geared to the community and i really like that aspect, so i think i'll be staying here for a while. ;; v ;;
Same. xD I may go check out Tumblr or FurAffinity sometime. For now, I need to finish a few bits of owed art on DA before I can completely move.
it's really difficult to find a - niche, i suppose - on tumblr, imo. it's a pretty good community though if you're in the right place.
i considered joining fa at one stage but i decided it wasn't really my thing. idk. :\
i'll probably still drop in and out of da because i'm part of an rp group, but i don't think i'll be half as active as i used to be.
Wow, I'm finding a lot of dA users here. Not surprising with how the community is ripping itself in two at the moment.
I really like this site so far. Much more organized and easy to use. At least, that's what I've seen so far. I'm debating whether or not to leave dA permanently. I still have art that I owe people on there so I can't leave just yet. But with more of my friends leaving, I might not be too far behind as well.
yeah. exactly why i named this journal what i did - it's like watching a humongous herd of wildebeest migrating for the wet season, ahahaha.
it looks far nicer than da does (what is that colour scheme? vomit green?) and seems to care a lot about its members and their needs, which is really nice. <3
Oh I love the icon size that they have! I also say that you can put a banner on your account too I think. That's pretty cool too! I totally agree, it's sleek and modern but not boring and doesn't kill a slow computer at all.
50x50 can be so limiting sometimes ;; A ;;
yeah, the banner was the first thing i got lmao
the lack of customization options if you were non-premium (or non-core, i suppose :) on da were something else. it was dreadful.
it's nice how everything is just... there.
i remember trying to make a few groups back in my earlier da days. the site navigation was so awful i had to actually google "deviantart group making" to get into the group forming page. 8T
What is the banner size?
I was and still am non-premium/core on dA and I found the set up to be really plain. I wanted to add my own touches to my page all the time but couldn't.
It was that hard back then to make a group? O.o I'm glad that I never made a group then.
i think it's 1650x250, or around there.
i dabbled in and out of premium, although never actually purchasing one (i got them from a group that "granted wishes". they were pretty efficient and i always got a pm not long after i sent them a message, which was pretty sweet) but yeah, the customization options for regular users are more or less non-existent.
not that the group formation itself was difficult; it was getting to it that was the problem.
Oh nice. I'll have to remember that.
That's really cool that a group did that. kinda like dahub but I think someone said that with the update, they kinda messed up that account or something. =/
It's taking me a bit to get used to this new site and figure out were everything is, I'm liking it a lot more than dA.

Yup. We all just got up and left DA. Wonder how many more are going to flood through in the next week or two. xD This site seems much better than DA in the least, so it's possible I may be moving my main site over here instead.
