Furry fandom, please. Please... by kritheavix

Don't make me hate Zootopia before it even comes out.

This has so far been the same as when macrophiles flipped their shit over Godzilla, and the moment it came out? Nobody was watching the damn thing. No, furries have not 'infiltrated Disney,' any more so than they have over the last sixty years. No, this isn't a 'furry movie' - it's a movie which features anthropomorphic characters. Stop freaking out. Please. This isn't a movie 'for us,' whatever segment of 'us' you think it pertains to. It looks like it'll be fun! But, for the love of god, don't make this weird for everybody.

Don't show up in to the cinema in your fursuits and your con badges and weird out normal people just trying to take their kids to a movie. See the movie! Enjoy it, of course! I would like to see it as well, thus far.

Just please. Calm down.

    OMG someone with sense.

I don't know what a zootopia is, and I didn't see macrophiles flipping out over Gojirra, although I really wish I did, because that sounds hilarious.

But bro! Zootopia is the greatest piece of fap material since Robin Hood!

Seriously though, I agree. It's the same thing folks should have thought about during the MLP theater screenings.

Please! 'Greatest Fap Material Since Robin Hood' belongs squarely to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Your mileage may vary, of course... X3

Ooh, not bad! X3 Attack of the 50 foot woman takes that cake though

your cries are in vain, your thinking the same people actually care to not get their geek on over this. Just another unstoppable train wreck, sit back and enjoy the fireworks and brace for the impact. Instead be happy they actually put anthro critters in movie but then what about rocket racoon and few other characters that got on the big screen. Hopefully the movie don't suck like lot of crap that been foisted out Hollywood as of late.

    yeah
its just a movie for families.
honestly i imagine they know about furries and would like to try and avoid them due their reputation. which isn't a good thing for a company especially disney.

    Always on point~
It's been established that fandoms, especially of late, can not really have nice things. (QED DashCon.)
there is still hope, though, that people won't be entirely weird about it. Part of the reason I think is because it explicitly uses the term anthropomorphic. It's a term I prefer to use to describe my own work. I think that, although possibly ruled as merely 'splitting hairs', delineates it as being 'for' everybody. We have to share, you know?

Whatever the reaction, I'm definitely seeing it. Jason Bateman playing a fox sounds like something too good to miss. (Ironically enough, he played the teen wolf in Teen Wolf 2) ;)

    Lol yes !
