Onward to the Post-con report!
So the best part of the con was seeing all of my friends that live far away. I already miss you all x.x I wish I could have hung out more with some people, but that's how it goes... there's always future years! Thanks for the all the booze and the fun and the randomness! I spent some time in suit; less than I wanted to, but I was also less drunk and in a funk the whole con. At least I got to suit before late night! Let's see... was in Artist Alley for a bit on Saturday. I think I hate Artist Alley. Definitely getting a dealer's table if I go again next year. I loved being able to chat with other artists and stuff, but the whole lax attitude towards taking commissions and finishing up those commissions really irritates me (pet peeve: if you say you're going to finish it at the con, and took on the commission before Sunday, fucking finish it! Don't overbook yourself and be honest to the client up front when you have a lot of commissions. UGH) Anywhoooooo, I much prefer Dealer's Den, even if the room was all dark and creepy. I'll have to remember to bring a lamp if I get in! On a similar note, I absolutely loved the dick room. It was like a beautiful museum of crystalline phalluses. I much preferred the separate room to the totally sketchy suitcases and drawers in past years. Good job, FWA!

I was pretty pleased with the overall convention space (minus the fact the DD and AA were in basically the basement... but I remember Dragoncon's DD being in the same room when I last went, so I guess that's how it goes?), I loved the open spaces and the fact you could see people from a distance. That was my favorite thing about the con space at my first FWA in the Hilton, and I've missed it in every hotel until now. I can't really complain about the elevators or hotel staff either. The elevators were never terrible except right at peak times before main events (seriously people, just go a bit early or leave a bit later and the elevators are magically cleared!), although I did see that group stuck in the one elevator... terrifying! My only complaint, albeit a major one, is parking. I'm debating not even staying at the Marriott again if something isn't done about parking. I know how bad downtown Atlanta is with break-ins (and all the one's that happened during the con prove that), so when I had to park in a random parking garage, I was terrified. Not a fun way to spend the weekend. Luckily all was fine for me (I guess no thief wants to waste their time with a shitty car full of road trip trash)! Still not sure if I want to worry about that next year though. It might be better for my anxiety to stay across the street with guaranteed secure parking.

So yeah, that was my con. Home safe and sound now, glad I got to see everyone I saw, sorry I missed those I missed!
