A Day at FWA 2015 by Bruma

Well, I spent my day off work attending Furry Weekend Atlanta 2015. It didn't go exactly as planned, as minor stuff happened along the way. I left the house and got there over an hour after I had originally planned. When I exited the MARTA station, it was raining and I had no raincoat or umbrella, and it took me a little while to get my bearings before I found my way to the Marriot Marquis (or the Tribute Center, as those of you recent movie buffs also know it's atrium as). I got registered OK, but a computer snafu kept me waiting for some time before my name badge printed. I wanted to find Ifus to pick up my custom badge first, but she was not in Artist Alley, as she was able to get a Dealer's Table at the last minute, so it took me a little while to find her. I also had a headache the entire time, but it wasn't unbearable.

Despite all these setbacks, I thought it was a blast. I met Aelius and hung out with him on and off throughout the day, chatted a bit with Ifus and also met and had a good conversation with Rukis. Meeting the latter was significant because in the past, I held a particular disdain for furry porn artists, both moral and somewhat personal. As time went on, though, my attitudes towards the people behind the images have relaxed, and in chatting with her, I found her alright. I still don't particularly care for all the pronz, and so pay no thought to it, but I have nothing against those that make it.

Continuing on, I went about the hotel on my own, and no one recognized me as Bruma the Travelling Ethiopian Wolf (unsurprising given my introverted, self-effacing personality). If you saw the skinny dude wearing camo pants, a green jacket, and a black beret toting a brown-leather messenger bag, that was me. Saw a number of fursuiters, most of which I didn't recognize, the lucky two I did recognize being ManuKoa and Ferloo respectively. I met and spoke a little bit with Ferloo.

While I do regret not being able to find Kalahari (Aelius had trouble with that too!), in all, I think it was worth it!

Cheers, fellas!
