I LIVE!!!

Sorry I went MIA for the most part when it comes to my activity here on Weasyl. I hit an art block and lacked a lot of motivation to do pretty much anything, not just arts and crafts.

Also it’s because I spent a good amount of March on my new work room. Wait… I got a new work room? Does that mean…

YES! My oldest brother finally moved out! He moved out on the 1st of February, however he moved into an apartment a mere 5 minutes drive away so he still comes over very often, too often for my liking, and he mooches up our food, aauugh!

But so that’s that. He moved out, I cleaned up his former bedroom and got to painting. Painting was the dullest part of the procedure that it took me forever to get that over with because I slacked off a lot, oops? At least my brother helped me paint the room eventually and my super awesome mother helped me shop for some stuff I need to make the workroom nice and welcoming, and practical when it comes to storing my supplies. You should see the awesome sweater organizers I’ve got in my closet to stack all the fleeces I’ve got!

The workroom’s completed, for the most part except I still need to get a real desk for sewing, drawing and computer; I’m currently using a tall cutting table for my sewing area, but it’s a little frustrating to work with. And my current computer table (a corner set up) is too small and it’s getting too wobbly for my liking. Ah yeah, and I don’t really have any space for traditional drawing time. But I have to make do with those things for now. Same with my ancient desktop computer which I would love to replace eventually, hopefully soon ^^;

It wasn’t just the workroom that ate up my time, I also spent some time on the other 2 rooms- my bedroom and the guest bedroom, in which I moved my art & craft supplies from, to my new work room; and I also swapped between my bedroom and the guest bedroom for the sake of change, and a small sacrifice on my part-

My former bedroom has a nice antique headboard & footboard and comes with its own bathroom, unlike the guest bedroom that comes with a smaller bed that lacks even a headboard and requires the guests to share a bathroom 2 doors down the hall with other people, which isn’t practical or proper for guests. So my former bedroom has been turned into a new guest bedroom with its own bathroom, now it turned out soooooo nice, warm and welcoming that dad said it looked like a bed & breakfast setting; the new guest bedroom also serves as my mom’s real sewing area at last (since she’ve been wanting her own sewing area for a while). And the former guest bedroom becomes my new bedroom, it’s smaller but I’m very happy with it! My new bedroom still needs some work (new wall color, a comfy chair & side table for reading area, etc) but we’ve made good progress on it, at least.

Besides the rooms, I haven’t done much in the past month, I blame it on the art block. I did got my hair partly dyed yesterday but it’s not very noticeable (The curse of having dark hair!) and I checked out a car a friend of my brothers was selling, this morning, and test drove it but it’s not for me, so I’ll keep on waiting and saving up until I get my dream car. Oh yeah, and a couple of hours ago, my neighbor’s dead tree fell onto my house, hurray…

So uh, that’s pretty much what has been happening with me since my previous journal.

To-Do List & Other News

Last month was Motivation-less March so hopefully this month will be Active April! I’m trying to get into the gear and do the following-

~ Produce more loaf and bun plushies for auctions and for Etsy shop. I got the Johto region starters set done, at least! But I gotta crank out even more for an art table I’ll be sharing with scratchingsouls at RMFC in August! I’ve got my hands full, as usual…

~ Do some arts (Traditional & Digital) to post onto the online stores with their own printing services, like RedBubble and Society6.

~ Set up an official commission price list for dA, FurAffinity and Weasyl. Sometimes I would rather do arts over plushies so that would be nice to have on hand for people who might want to commission me.

~ Team Magma Grunt cosplay for upcoming A-Kon in June to go with my friends’ Team Magma/Aqua group. It’s coming along slowly, most of the parts I need have been bought, I just need to make the hoodie, shorts and the boots. And a Poochyena bun plushie to go with the cosplay.

~ And much, much more……….

So much for spending some time on personal arts ;.;
Oh yeah, and my birthday’s coming up on the 23rd… gee, already?
