... so he or she makes the 'Browse Submissions' mode useful and accessible?
The underlying system of tagging and content type classification seems to be very much okay and complete, just when one goes to the browse-mode, all those neat little toggles that only show up when performing a specific search simply are not available! This is so sad!!
No way to just limit the rating of the displayed submissions, no way to only show a specific content type.
The only way to get those options is to use a specific search term. which greatly limits the scope of submissions since most people don't tag their art (at all) or just not uniformly, or some tags don't apply to certain types of submissions!
There is no wildcard tag that encompasses every submission on this site, right? (I've tried wildcards and they don't work xD)
Could something like that be attached to every submission as a hidden tag, which can then be used with the search? (If there is no other way to get to those sorting features?)
Such a tiny, tiny thing that would make the whole submission browsing and discovering so much more fun! @N@ Because that is the only way you can find people and their art here. (and on other sites, too, of course)
The other artists I've spoken to agree that this is THE one thing that bugs them about Weasyl or might inspire them to be lazy and not switch to it right now.
Is this somewhere up high on your to-do list, dear Devs? Pretty please?
use -OwnName i.e. -todex
*rolls around on the floor* The forum. ARTISTS DON'T LIKE FORUMSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS maybe I'll have a look at that when I'm done uploading my stuff here and have more time!

There's a workaround of sorts you can use to search using just #explicit or #general, if you search using -.
Like, "#general -propaneandpropaneaccessories" or "#explicit -user:HairyPooter" would almost certainly return you every single image of that rating level (unless there's really a user account named HairyPooter, then I am so sorry pls forgive).
It'd be nice to not have to think too creatively with Weasyl's features and just get what we want without having to jump through a hoop or two though. I only know little tricks like this from using less user friendly search engines of a similar nature before (for research papers, or reading scientific studies).
