Usually I can hide behind my quartodecimanism as an excuse for not knowing Palm Sunday is approaching, but this year there is so much overlap that this won't work.
It was on this day that the crowds welcomed their messiah into the city, properly acknowledging him for who he was but not realizing that what he was coming to do was not what they expected. They thought they were welcoming a deliverer who would save them from Roman oppression. But that was not what the man had in mind.
This was a day of celebration and joy, and it would stand in sharp contrast to the very different attitude the city would project in just four short days.

Curious, how do you celebrate it?
