Woohooooo! My first ever art show and first ever facebook event page thingie! It would mean the world to me if anyone wants to invite their friends, spread the word, come on down and watch me sweat bullets while surrounded by fuzzy animals!
This is seriously the biggest thing for me since I embarked on this crazy art journey. I never thought I'd have my very own art show. I did a 4-person show at the Living Room back in 2012 and that was the closest I've had so far! But I think I've come a long way since then. Having not attended art school of any sort, I've been pretty much on my own as far as learning my craft and figuring out how the heck to market myself. Surprisingly, developing my craft has been FAR easier than marketing myself. I'm naturally a SUPER introvert. Talking to people used to be terrifying, especially when approaching them for things like selling my work, looking for media coverage, and the like. It's been an incredible journey of self-discovery and personal growth, getting this crazy art thing to be a career! I still have miles to go, but with the local wildlife as inspiration, and you guys cheering me on, I know I can do it!!
