Welcome! I'm assuming you're here because of the journal I posted on FA. If you're one of the people who left, good luck, I hope you're able to find away to stay off that hellhole for good! If you're not leaving FA, good luck to you too, I hope the new deal and the site in general don't fuck you or anyone else over too bad.
BUT while you're here on Weasyl, enjoy! I give special early and/or prolonged access to auctions, adoptables, and other offers on Weasyl before they get posted to FA, so following me here has its benefits either way!

Hell yeah. Literally everything about this site is better than FA aside from the square icons and honestly that's workable.

I don't even mind the icons??? I love the layout, love the banners, love everything.
Just need to get into the habit of sizing all my pieces properly haah.
It'd be cool to see a lot more activity here - I might even start posting some sketches exclusively here or something?-
What issues do you have with your sizing here that you don't have on other sites, if you don't mind me asking? I mean I just started resizing my stuff to avoid people making prints, but I used to post the full 9x12, 300 dpi files and I never had any issues.
And yeah, I did that at first, but I sketch too often and the Weasyl upload system is a little too slow to make it worth it imo. So I save that stuff for Tumblr/Instagram, but I offer adoptables and auctions on Weasyl for a few days before I post them on FA, or let auctions run a day or two longer on Weasyl than FA. Seems to be working out okay so far.

Aaaah, aight. I haven't had any problems with how fast it uploads things so far aha. But then recently I've rarely been drawing tbh.

That looks okay on my end? Unless you want it to show up all at once without needing to scroll, but I don't think it's that big a problem lol. And I get pretty much the same results on FA, for the most part lol

Ever since I first got on the internet, I've always buttonized all my icons--you know, that border effect thing to make them look a little more 3Dish? Paint Shop Pro version 3.whatever called that effect Buttonizing, anyway, which honestly says something about how long I've been doing that. Anyway, rounded corners and circles kind of mess that up for me, anyway!
Besides, at least Weasyl lets you have icons in modern formats, rather than auto-converting everything to GIF with about the most terrible auto-compressing algorithm ever devised. Like, they find a way to make non-GIFs that didn't even have more than 256 colors still somehow look bad. The only way to get a good icon on FA is to GIF it yourself beforehand, and FA is the only site I've ever used that has that issue.

Man, I'm hopin' that Weasyl gets more users tbh - it's one of my favourite sites in terms of layout [I'm not fond of the sizing on things but that's more my own laziness lmao].
